Robert SCHUMANN (1810–1856) was a German composer and pianist of the Romantic era. He is renowned for his piano works, lieder, and symphonies, as well as his passionate love affair with pianist Clara Wieck. His music blends lyricism, emotional intensity, and poetic imagination.
Felix MENDELSSOHN (1809–1847) was a German composer, pianist, and conductor of the Romantic period. A child prodigy, he is known for his luminous and elegant works such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, along with concertos, symphonies, and oratorios. He also played a major role in the 19th-century revival of Bach’s music.
