On Thursday 29 August 2024 at 8.30pm, the Festival Les Accords de Cassis will be presenting a concert of classical music and jazz:
Free rein for Nicolas Dautricourt
Part 1: Tchaikovsky concerto with Nicolas Dautricourt, violin, the Capriccio quartet and Knut-Erik Sundquist, double bass
Part 2: Nicolas Dautricourt in jazz quartet with Dimitri Saroglou, piano, Knut-Erik Sundquist, double bass and Rafael Mejias, percussion
The soundtrack to the film 'The Concert', a masterpiece among masterpieces, Tchaikovsky's famous violin concerto is the epitome of Slavic Romanticism, echoing the Russian soul and its most extreme passions.
And what better way to play it than on Nicolas Dautricourt's Stradivarius?
This will be followed by a second part devoted to jazz in its broadest sense, featuring Chick Corea and Astor Piazzolla in particular.
Duration: 2 hours with interval.
Unnumbered seats (under a tent).
Price :
15 €
10 for under-12s and reduced-rate ticket holders
Depending on the weather, the concert may be moved to the Congress Centre, Oustau Calendal, Promenade Aristide Briand.
