In the north of France, Gabin, the youngest child in the Jourdel family, is destined to take over his father’s butcher’s shop. Torn between family loyalty and a desire to break free, he has other dreams: to train a show cow, to become a dog breeder, and to save his mother’s farm from bankruptcy. Gabin immerses us in the life of this young boy, from the age of 8 to 18.
