Conference screening: The Mediterranean is not dead
Presentation
On Tuesday 24 September 2024 at 6.30 pm, the Centre Culturel de Cassis will be presenting a projected conference:
The Mediterranean is not dead
Presented by Franck Lorrain, actor and presenter
And Pierre Boissery, Mer expert Agence de l'eau Rhône Méditerranée Corse
The Mediterranean is not dead is a call to action and a celebration of Mediterranean marine life. Franck, an amateur diver and lover of the Mediterranean, refuses to give in to the pessimism that tends to make people believe that the Mediterranean Sea is dead and that it is the most polluted sea in the world... In this film, he sets out to meet the people who, on a daily basis, work to study and preserve it.
Pierre Boissery is an expert in coastal waters and the Mediterranean coastline in the planning and programmes department of the Rhône Méditerranée Corse water agency. His expertise is focused in particular on tools for understanding the marine environment, the phenomena that govern it and the monitoring systems used to establish the state of health of the Mediterranean.
Indoors in the large conference room of the Centre Culturel.
6.00 pm: Doors open.
6.30pm: Conference begins.
Price: €10 per person - €5 for CCC members
Seats not numbered (free seating).
