On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 6:30 PM, the Cassis Cultural Center invites you to a conference at the Oustau Calendal Convention Center:
BESTOUAN – PORT-MIOU – The Mysterious Rivers
Louis Potié, Hydrogeological Engineer, will recount the adventure of constructing the underground dam of the Port-Miou River.
Gérard Aquaviva, Hydrogeological Engineer, will present the relentless efforts of a team of cave divers who, for many years, have been trying to reach the river at the site known as Mussuguet.
Marc Douchet will tell the story of the so-called “Himalayan” dives of the 1990s, including the June 1993 dive reaching -147 m in Port-Miou.
Xavier Meniscus, holder of the world record for depth in cave diving (-312 m), will take us along on his extraordinary dives in the Port-Miou River (-233 m).
