In the space of four years, Lilou has emerged from the shadows. She has become a 64-year-old woman who enjoys DIY, gardening, cycling and looking after her grandchildren. As I documented her transformation, I filmed a family healing its wounds and redefining a place for each of its members. This family is my own; Lilou is my father.
