On Tuesday 8 April 2025 at 6.30 pm, the Centre Culturel de Cassis will be presenting a musical lecture:
Hector Berlioz

Born on 11 December 1803 in La Côte-Saint-André (Isère) and died on 8 March 1869 in Paris.
Romain Rolland enthused: "What a rich, fine, strong, overflowing life! "His life was a martyrdom", replied André Boucourechliev; "a series of catastrophes provoked by himself", according to Antoine Goléa; a life "both agitated and tense, exuberant and tense" for Claude Ballif; "a "romantic life", in short, according to his first biographer Adolphe Boschot, who announces from the outset "love affairs, suicides, ecstasies, roars of pain, feverish activity, the struggle for money, misery and ruin, intoxicating triumphs, flat falls, 'volcanic' aspirations to the ideal, Berlioz lacked nothing, not even the illuminations of genius, to be the most representative hero of French Romanticism.
