Italian gastronomy and crafts: An Italian village sets up in Cassis

For one long weekend, the traditional "Italian village" will be setting up on the Place Baragnon from 6 to 11 November 2024 - transformed for the occasion into a veritable piazzetta - where all the ingredients of the Italian art of living will be on offer.
This new edition of "PORTOFINO e' CASSIS" brings together around thirty Italian artisans and producers offering their specialities: gastronomy, of course, is very much in evidence, with parmesan, panettone, baci di cunese, Piedmont wines, sparkling Prosecco and Portofino wines.
All the best-sellers from the Riviera are also on show, with cashmeres, wool skins, leather goods, gloves and fashion accessories in Italian fur.
Entertainment, aperitifs and live music will punctuate these few days, culminating on Saturday with the much-anticipated Vespa and Fiat 500 parade through the streets of the village and along the harbour.
As every year, all proud owners of historic Fiat 500s and Vespas are invited to join in the parade and exhibit their collectors' pieces.
